Richard Farrelly is an experienced facilitator and trainer. He spent 27 years in Victoria Police in both frontlines policing and specialist squads. He led deployments to the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires, the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake recovery, the 2011 Victoria floods, the 2019 bushfires, and the 2021 Victoria Border closure during the Covid crisis. He has almost 20 years experience in leadership roles. Richard dedicated much of this time to training, development, and mentoring roles in dedicated learning environments.
Richard has an established coaching and facilitation business and after leaving VictoriaPolice in February 2022 he has been engaged in leadership development by senior management teams in the health, engineering, not-for-profit, banking, and insurance sectors. His role in the three years before leaving Victoria Police was training mid and senior-level managers in contemporary leadership skills and awareness. He also designed and developed leadership programs for delivery in the virtual environment.
